one Inspection of grinding wheel
Grinding wheels with cracks and other defects are not allowed to be used. The grinding wheel must pass a strict inspection before the device is used.
If the grinding wheel cannot be checked and confirmed, 1 Check the grinding wheel mark. The grinding wheel is not marked or can not be clearly marked. Not to be used, whether defective or not.
2 Check the wheel defects. The inspection method is visual and acoustic inspection:
① Visual inspection is to observe whether there are cracks or damage and other defects on the surface of the grinding wheel directly with the naked eye or with the help of other instruments.
Mainly for the internal defects of the grinding wheel, the sound inspection is also called the knock test. The inspection method is to hit the grinding wheel with a small wooden hammer. The normal grinding wheel sound is crisp, the sound is active and hoarse, indicating that there is a problem.
The batch of grinding wheel without strength test is strictly forbidden to use. 3. Test the rotary strength of the grinding wheel. The rotating strength of a batch of grinding wheels of the same type should be sampled.
2. Grinding wheel installation
Whether the grinding wheel and the spindle size match. 1 Check whether the characteristics of the grinding wheel meet the requirements of use.
Do not squeeze hard. The inner diameter of the grinding wheel should have appropriate clearance with the spindle and chuck. 2 Assemble the grinding wheel freely to the spindle of the grinding wheel. Prevent too big or too small. The mating surface is clean and free of debris.
The radial width of the pressing surface should be equal. The pressing surface is straight, 3 the chuck of the grinding wheel should be symmetrical. Full contact with the front of the grinding wheel, stable clamping, to prevent the two sides of the grinding wheel due to unbalanced force deformation or even fragmentation.
4 Between the chuck and the end face of the grinding wheel should be padded with a certain thickness of flexible data liner (such as asbestos rubber sheet, elastic cardboard or leather, etc.) to make the chuck clamping force evenly distributed.
Not too tight. When multiple bolts are used to tighten the large chuck, 5 the tightness level of the tightening wheel should be tight enough to drive the grinding wheel not to slide. Tighten the bolts gradually and evenly in diagonal pairs. Do not tighten the bolts in a circular direction or tighten one bolt at a time. Tighten the grinding wheel chuck only with a standard plate handle. Do not use a long wrench or knock to increase the tightening force.
3. Balance test of grinding wheel
For example, the reason for the unbalance of the grinding wheel is that the center of gravity of the grinding wheel does not coincide with the axis of rotation. This occurs because of defects in the manufacture and installation of grinding wheels. The density of the grinding wheel is not uniform, the end face is not parallel, the geometric shape or the inner and outer hole concentricity error, the eccentric of the grinding wheel device, etc. When the unbalanced grinding wheel rotates at high speed, the centrifugal force that forces the grinding wheel to deviate from the axis will cause the grinding wheel vibration. The result not only affects the grinding quality, but also accelerates the wear of the main bearing of the grinding wheel. When centrifugal force exceeds the allowable range of grinding wheel strength, it will cause grinding wheel fragmentation.
Balance tests should be carried out on grinding wheels that are found to run unbalance. There are two methods to adjust the balance of grinding wheel: dynamic balance and static balance. New grinding wheel and redressed grinding wheel.

The operator should stand in a safe position on the side of the grinding wheel during the idling test. Do not stand in front of the grinding wheel or in the tangent direction to prevent accidents.
4. Grinding wheel dressing
Prevent grinding wheel passivation, clogging and distortion of shape, regular dressing can make the grinding wheel adhere to good grinding performance and correct geometry. The commonly used dressing tool is a diamond pen. During operation, the position of the dressing tool is too high, the dressing direction is not proper (such as against the rotation direction of the grinding wheel, the inclination Angle is too large or too small) or the dressing amount is too large, which will cause the grinding wheel to vibrate strongly, or cause the diamond pen to chew, and even cause the grinding wheel to crack. The correct operation method is that the diamond pen is 12mm below the horizontal line of the center of the grinding wheel, along with the rotation direction of the grinding wheel, and the inclination Angle of the horizontal plane is about 5° ~ 10°. When dressing, the force should be uniform, the speed is stable, and the amount of dressing should not be too large. The operator should stand in the safe position on the side of the grinding wheel, and should not stand in the front of the grinding wheel.
Can be used. After dressing the grinding wheel must be re-tested after rotation.
5. Storage and transportation of grinding wheels
Not subject to strong vibration and impact, 1 grinding wheel in handling, storage. It is not allowed to roll the grinding wheel during handling, so as not to cause cracks and external damage.
To avoid confusion in use. 2 The mark printed with the characteristics of the grinding wheel and the safe speed shall not be daubed or damaged at will.
The grinding wheel of resin and rubber bond from the factory date,3 the storage time of the grinding wheel should not exceed the expiration date of the grinding wheel. If the storage time exceeds one year, it can be used only after passing the rotary test.
The temperature is appropriate, 4 the grinding wheel storage site should be kept dry. Prevent mixing with other chemicals. Prevent the grinding wheel from moisture, low temperature, overheating and erosion by harmful chemicals to reduce strength.
Classified placement, 5 grinding wheels should be based on specifications, shapes and sizes. Prevent overlaying damage or deformation of the grinding wheel due to improper storage.
